Harvest Webstation enables you to connect to Harvest from any location that has Internet access. This
means that outlying doctor's offices and clinics can more easily
take advantage of Harvest resources, placing orders and reviewing
results electronically.
Before you may review results for an order, you must have a
valid user name and password to sign into Harvest Webstation,
as well as the necessary security settings to review results.
All of these are created and maintained in Harvest. Contact
the Harvest System Administrator if you need assistance with
your user name, password, or security settings.
The type of result you are looking for controls the way you
search for results.
Complete the following steps to find patient results:
- Enter your user name and password in the Sign
In page in Harvest Webstation.
- Your Harvest Webstation homepage appears.
Note that there are different homepages depending on whether
you sign in as a provider or as a technologist:
- Click the Look Up Results link in the Harvest Webstation
window to launch the main option page for finding results.
- The Order/Result Search Options page appears.
- Depending on the type of completed result you are looking
for, you will search for:
- To search for results
for a specific patient:
- Click the "Find Patient" link to open the
Find Patient page.
Note that you can also click the Find Patient link in
the Harvest Webstation window to open the Find Patient
page.
- The Find Patient page appears.
- Enter a name or patient ID and click Search
(or press the Enter key). See Find
Patient for more information on using the Find Patient
page.
- If there is only one result for your search, then
Harvest Webstation displays the patient's information
in the Edit Patient:
Orders Tab.
- If there are multiple results for your search,
then Harvest Webstation displays the results of your
search in the Patient
Search Results page. Make a selection in the search
results page to continue to the Edit
Patient: Orders Tab.
- If no match is found, you will be notified that
there are no matching records in the database. Repeat
the search if desired.
- The Edit Patient: Orders Tab page provides access for
you to view the results for the patient's existing completed
orders (those that have been accessioned in Harvest).
- Click an entry in the Sample ID column to view the
result details for the selected order. See Edit
Patient: Orders Tab for more information on viewing
these results.
- To search for results
for a specific sample:
- Click the "Find Sample ID" link to open the
Find Sample ID page.
Note that you can also click the Find Sample ID link
in the Harvest Webstation window to open the Find Sample
ID page.
- The Find Sample ID page appears.
- Enter a sample ID and click Search. See Find
Sample ID for more information on using the Find Sample
ID page.
- If there is only one result for your search, then
Harvest Webstation displays the order information
in the Order Details
page.
- If there are multiple results for your search,
then Harvest Webstation displays the results of your
search in the Sample ID
Search Results page. Make a selection in the search
results page to continue to the Order
Details page.
- If no match is found, you will be notified that
there are no matching records in the database. Repeat
the search if desired.
- The Order Details page provides access for you to open
a report that contains details for the order. Using this
Order Details page, you
may access the Test History
or the Result Graph for
a selected test, as well as print,
fax, or email
the report.
- To view your completed
results:
- Click the "Completed Results" link.
Note that the Completed Results page is only available
for users signed in as providers.
Note that you can also click the Completed Results link
in the Harvest Webstation page to open the Completed Results
page.
- The Completed Results page appears.
This page contains results that have been approved in
Harvest and that have been delivered to your Harvest
Webstation account. However, these results have not yet
been marked as reviewed in Harvest Webstation. After the
results have been marked as reviewed, you may find them
by searching for a specific patient's results (see above).
This list is affected by whether the orders are being
filtered by the ordering provider or by the patient provider,
and it is affected by whether all of the orders for providers
within your Web Personnel Group are being shown or if
only your orders are being shown. See Security
Filtering Preferences for more information.
- Click an entry in the Sample ID column to view the
result details for the selected order.

- Note that if you cannot find the desired results, Harvest
may not yet have the results or the results may not be
approved. You may look for orders that are not yet complete
in two places:
- Orders in Progress - This page contains the
orders that you placed using Harvest Webstation and that
have been accessioned into the database by a Harvest
user, but that do not yet have all of the necessary results.
- Click the "Orders in Progress" link.
Note that you can also click the Orders in Progress
link in the Harvest Webstation window to open the
Orders in Progress page.
- The Orders in Progress page appears.
- Click an entry in the Sample ID column to view
the result details for the selected order.

- Unreleased Orders - This page contains the orders
that you placed using Harvest Webstation that have not
yet been accessioned into the database by a Harvest
user. This list only contains orders that you have placed
in Harvest Webstation. Unreleased orders that have been
placed by other Harvest Webstation users will not appear
on this list.
- Click the "Unreleased Orders" link.
Note that you can also click the Unreleased Orders
link in the Harvest Webstation window to open the
Unreleased Orders page.
- The Unreleased Orders page appears.
- Click an entry in the Sample ID column to view
the result details for the selected order.
