Printing from Harvest WebstationExcept in the cases mentioned in the "Printing Formatted Text from Harvest Webstation" section below, there is not a separate window or button in Harvest Webstation for printing on-screen information or results. If you would like to print, you must use the "Print" button in your web browser to print the information on the screen. If there is no "Print" button on your web browser tool bar, look for the print command in the web browser's File menu. Note that you must have the necessary security settings in order to print information or reports from Harvest Webstation. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Establishing Security Settings for more information. Printing Formatted Text from Harvest WebstationClicking the Print button in either the Order Details, the Unreleased Order Details, the Result Details: Result Graph, or the Result Details: History pages or clicking the Print Patient ABN or Print Office ABN buttons in the Order Samples: Sample Information page causes Harvest Webstation to prepare the text in a format that is easier for the printer to read. Harvest Webstation automatically displays the print dialog box, where you may modify your print settings if necessary. Click Print to send the report to the printer, or click Cancel to cancel the print job. The System Administrator for Harvest may set up preferences to control the width of microbiology reports and whether or not to include a header and/or footer on sensitivity analysis or manual sensitivity microbiology tests. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Modifying Program Preferences for more information. You may modify your advanced configuration options to use the current user's linked draw or order location in place of the practice name on reports. It will also appear in the title of the browser and at the top of the page. If the options are enabled but the current user does not have a linked draw or order location, Harvest Webstation will print the practice/lab name and address from the General tab of Webstation Preferences. Note that if the advanced configuration option to put the second address line at the end of the address is enabled, Harvest Webstation will place the second address line after the city/state/zip line when displaying the practice/lab address. See the Harvest online help for more information. You may modify your advanced configuration options to print only the test results for specified order choices in a fixed-width font on patient reports, omitting the test name, numeric result, abnormal flags, and reference ranges. This feature is designed to show tests with large amounts of text, such as pathology results copied in from other systems. However, if the text of the test result does not contain carriage returns, Harvest Webstation will interpret it as a very long line, so it will not print correctly. If you use this feature, you may wish to use the setting in the Order Choices table in Harvest to omit the Reference Range column header on reports. You may modify the settings in your Web browser to include the patient's name and sample ID, or other desired information, in the header and/or footer of the report. See Troubleshooting: Customizing Your Browser's Settings to Control Report Headers and Footers. Printing RequisitionsIn order to print requisitions, you must first have the necessary testing location and Harvest Webstation preference settings in Harvest. If these settings exist, then you will automatically be prompted to confirm or cancel printing requisitions when you save an order for the testing locations that have been properly set up, or you may click the Requisition button on the Order Details page. See Printing Requisitions for more information. Printing InvoicesIn order to print invoices, you must first have the necessary Harvest Webstation preference settings in Harvest. If these settings exist, then the laboratory invoice will be automatically displayed when you save an order, or you may click the Invoice button on the Unreleased Order Details or Order Details pages. See Printing Invoices for more information. Note that the system administrator for Harvest may disable invoices for Harvest Webstation. If invoices are disabled, then Harvest Webstation will alert you to that fact, and it will not print an invoice when you click the Invoice button or if the system is configured to automatically print invoices in Harvest Webstation. Printing LabelsIf you have installed and configured the LabelPrinting application, then you may print labels for the order from the Unreleased Order Details page. See Printing Labels for more information. Printing Abnormal ResultsBy default, abnormal results are printed in red text on reports. If you would rather have abnormal results printed with an underline, you may alter your Harvest Webstation Preferences to do so. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Modifying Program Preferences for more information. Printing Invoices, Requisitions, and Reports with ShadingInvoices, Requisitions, and Reports in Harvest Webstation are formatted with certain elements shaded. This helps make the information easier to read and interpret. Depending on the browser you use, you may have to change your browser settings to make the shading appear when you print the information from Harvest Webstation. See Troubleshooting for more information. |
