In order to print labels from
Harvest Webstation, you must first modify the settings in
Harvest to allow label printing for Harvest Webstation users and
configure the label properties. Then, you must download and install the
LabelPrinting application on the machine that runs Harvest Webstation. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Enabling Label
Printing.
After you have set up label printing, you may print labels for the order.
The steps that you must follow depend on if you are running an Internet
Explorer or a Firefox web browser.
See the appropriate section below for more information on printing labels,
or see Printing for general information
on printing from Harvest Webstation.
If you receive an error when printing labels, confirm that the label printing settings in Harvest Webstation are configured correctly and that you have security access to all order choices on the order. If an order contains only restricted order choices, Harvest Webstation will not generate labels.
Automatically Printing Labels
If the Auto-print Labels preference option is enabled for Harvest Webstation
users, then Harvest Webstation will automatically print labels when you
save an order based on the Label Settings preferences established
in Harvest. If Harvest Webstation is supposed to print a label and the label format includes the list of order choices, then it will print "RESTRICTED" for each order choice that is restricted, rather than print the order choice abbreviation. See the Harvest online help for more information.
See the Troubleshooting
topic for steps to disable automatic label printing. If you disable automatic
label printing, you may still click the Labels button in the Unreleased Order
Details or Order Details pages to
print labels.
Using an Internet Explorer Web Browser
- Click the Labels button in the Unreleased Order
Details or Order Details pages.
- If Harvest Webstation does not automatically print the labels, the File Download window appears.
- Make certain that "Open this file from its current location"
is selected and then click OK.
- If you clear the "Always ask before opening this type of file"
option, then you will only have to select "Open this file from
its current location" the first time you print labels. After that,
Harvest Webstation will automatically open the label printing file.
- If you have not installed the LabelPrinting application, then nothing
happens after opening the file from the current location.
- You must install the LabelPrinting application before you may print
the labels. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Enabling Label
Printing.
Using a Firefox Web Browser
- Click the Labels button in the Unreleased Order
Details or Order Details pages.
- If Harvest Webstation does not automatically print the labels, the Opening window appears.
- Make certain that "Open it with the default application (Barcode)" is selected and then click OK.
- If you clear the "Always show this dialog box before handling files of this type"
option, then you will only have to select the option to open the file the first
time you print labels. After that, Harvest Webstation will automatically
open the label printing file.
- If you have not installed the LabelPrinting application, then you will
receive an error message.
- You must install the LabelPrinting application before you may print
the labels. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Enabling Label Printing.
