In order to print requisitions in Harvest Webstation, you must first have the necessary settings in Harvest. If these settings exist, then you will automatically be prompted to confirm or cancel printing requisitions when you save an order in Harvest Webstation.

Establishing Harvest Settings
You must complete the following steps to enable requisition printing in Harvest Webstation.
- In the Tables/Locations window, enable the requisition feature for that testing location.
- Make certain that the location is a Delivery, In-house, or Reference Lab location by selecting the appropriate checkbox.
- Select the Print Requisition checkbox.
- Set up a custom requisition, if desired, using the "Design Requisition" button.
- Update the Harvest Webstation preferences to print requisitions when an order is placed.
- Access the Harvest Webstation preferences in Harvest.
- For multi-user systems: File/Preferences/Web tab/Set Web User Prefs/Accessioning tab
- For single-user systems: File/Preferences/Accessioning tab
- On the Accessioning tab (in Webstation User mode), select either "Ordered Only" or "Ordered and Released" from the "Print deferred requisitions when" field. This tells Harvest Webstation to send a requisition to print when an order is placed.
Note that if you select "Ordered and Released," the requisition that is sent to print when the order is released is printed for the Harvest user. A requisition is only printed in Harvest Webstation when the order is placed.
- Note that you may create a column view specifying which columns to display on requisitions and how to sort the columns in the Column Views table in Harvest—see the Harvest online or printed help for more information
- You may also use advanced configuration options to modify requisitions in Harvest Webstation (see Advanced Configuration Options for Requisitions).
- Restart the 4D server for the changes to preferences for Harvest Webstation to appear.
See the Harvest online help for more information.
Printing Requisitions in Harvest Webstation
- In order to print requisitions in Harvest Webstation, you must have first established the settings in Harvest that enabled the requisition printing feature and set up the testing locations for which you wish requisitions to print (see above).
- Harvest Webstation considers the testing location to be the location that is listed on the Order Samples: Sample Information page. This is the location that must be set up in Harvest to print requisitions.
- When you save an order that will be sent to a testing location for which requisitions are printed, Harvest Webstation displays the requisition information for the testing location. A separate display page and print dialog box automatically appears for each requisition.
Note that there will be one requisition display page and one print dialog box for each requisition from every testing location that is set up to print requisitions. For example, if there were four requisitions for one location, there would be four requisition display pages and four print dialog boxs. If there were five requisitions from two different locations, there would be five requisition display pages.
- Before an order is released into Harvest, you may reprint requisition(s), if necessary, by clicking the Requisition button on the Unreleased Orders page. When you reprint requisitions this way, the same display pages and print dialog boxs appear for each requisition.
- After an order is released into Harvest, you may reprint requisition(s), if necessary, by clicking the Requisition button on the Order Details page. When you reprint requisitions this way, the same display pages and print dialog boxs appear for each requisition.
- If Harvest Webstation is supposed to print a requisition, then it will print "RESTRICTED" for each order choice that is restricted, rather than print the order choice abbreviation.
- Verify the settings for the printer in the print dialog box. Make any necessary modifications. See Printing.
- Click "Print" to confirm the printing or "Cancel" to cancel printing the requisition. You will have to confirm or cancel the printing of each requisition that was created when you saved the order or that you selected to print.
- After you have printed or cancelled printing the requisition(s) for a new order, close the requisition display page(s) and continue to the Unreleased Order Details page. From this page, you may view all of the order details, print the order, print labels for the order, print invoices, or delete the order.
- If you are reprinting requisitions, close the requisition display page(s) and return to the Order Details page.
Advanced Configuration Options for Requisitions
You may use advanced configuration options to:
- Use the current user's linked draw or order location in place of the practice name on requisitions. It will also appear in the title of the browser and at the top of the page. If the options are enabled but the current user does not have a linked draw or order location, Harvest Webstation will print the practice/lab name and address from the General tab of Webstation Preferences.
- Put the second address line at the end of the address. If this is enabled, Harvest Webstation will place the second address line after the city/state/zip line when displaying the practice/lab address.
- Display the patient ID and/or sample ID in bold on the standard requisition.
- Display the testing location on the standard requisition in a specific color.
- Include additional information in the Comment field on standard requisitions, such as user-defined fields, the patient's room number, and/or the fax number.
- Display specified text instead of the user-defined field for patient ID.
- Display specified text instead of the user-defined field for sample ID.
- Disable text wrapping for custom requisitions.
- Prepend "(Account #: [Provider's Host Code])" to the sending/ordering location name on standard and custom requisitions.
- Prepend the location abbreviation to whatever location is printed in the top right box on the requisition.
- Suppress patient address and/or patient phone information.
- Add the insured's DOB and address to the Comments field on the standard requisition.
- Print a second page on the requisition if the patient has secondary and tertiary insurance.
- Use only with specific test locations.
In other words, you may create Advanced Configuration Options for requisitions that only apply to a specific test location. Note that Harvest Webstation will initally check for test location settings, and then check the standard requisition Advanced Configuration Options section (i.e., test location-specific values will override standard values).
