In order to print invoices in Harvest Webstation, you must
first have the necessary settings in Harvest. If these
settings exist, then you will automatically be prompted to confirm or
cancel printing invoices when you save an order in Harvest Webstation.
Note that the system administrator for Harvest may disable invoices for Harvest Webstation. If invoices are disabled, then Harvest Webstation will alert you to that fact, and it will not print an invoice when you click the Invoice button or if the system is configured to automatically print invoices in Harvest Webstation.

Establishing Harvest Settings
You must complete the following steps to print invoices when an order
is placed in Harvest Webstation.
- Access the Harvest Webstation preferences in Harvest.
- For multi-user systems: File/Preferences/Web tab/Set Web User Prefs/Accessioning
tab
- For single-user systems: File/Preferences/Accessioning tab
- On the Accessioning tab (in Webstation User mode), select the "Print
Invoices" checkbox. This tells Harvest Webstation to send an invoice
to print when an order is placed.
- Enter a value in the "Number of Invoices" field. This tells
Harvest Webstation how many copies of the invoice to print when an order
is placed.
- Restart the 4D server for the changes to preferences for Harvest Webstation
to appear.
Note that you may create a column view specifying which columns to display on the invoice and how to sort the columns in the Column Views table in Harvest—see the Harvest online or printed help for more information.
You may use advanced configuration options to:
- Use the current user's linked draw or order location in place of the practice name on invoices. It will also appear in the title of the browser and at the top of the page.
If the options are enabled but the current user does not have a linked draw or order location, Harvest Webstation will print the practice/lab name and address from the General tab of Webstation Preferences.
Note that if the advanced configuration option to put the second address line at the end of the address is enabled, Harvest Webstation will place the second address line after the city/state/zip line when displaying the practice/lab address.
- Add a comment containing "Draw Location: [Abbreviation Name]" to the Comment field on the invoice.
- Suppress patient address and/or patient phone information on the invoice.
- Include the room number in the Comment field of the invoice.

Printing Invoices in Harvest Webstation
- In order to print invoices in Harvest Webstation, you must first establish
the settings in Harvest that enable the invoice printing feature
and enter the default number of invoices that you wish print (see above).
- When you save an order and you have the invoice printing preference
enabled (see above), Harvest Webstation displays the invoice information
in a separate display page.
Note that the number of invoice display pages and print dialog boxs will
be equal to the number entered in the "Number of Invoices"
field in Harvest (see above). For example, if the value in the field
is four, then there would be four invoice display pages and four print
dialog boxs.
If Harvest Webstation is supposed to print an invoice, then it will print "RESTRICTED" for each order choice that is restricted, rather than print the order choice abbreviation.
- If you do not have the invoice printing preference enabled (see above),
you may print an invoice on an individual basis by clicking the Invoice button on the Unreleased Order
Details or Order Details pages.
- Note that the system administrator for Harvest may disable invoices for Harvest Webstation. If invoices are disabled, then Harvest Webstation will alert you to that fact, and it will not print an invoice when you click the Invoice button or if the system is configured to automatically print invoices in Harvest Webstation.
- The invoice format is based on the Harvest invoice and the Harvest Webstation
requisition. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Modifying Program Preferences or Printing
Requisitions for more information.
You may modify your advanced configuration options to suppress the patient, provider, insured SSN, and guarantor SSN on the invoice, although the field labels will still print.
- Use the "Print" button in your web browser to print the
information on the page. If there is no "Print" button on
your web browser tool bar, look for the print command in the web browser's
File menu. See Printing for more information.
- Verify the settings for the printer in the print dialog box(s).
Make any necessary modifications.
- Click "OK" to confirm the printing or "Cancel"
to cancel printing the invoice(s).
- Repeat these steps for each displayed invoice.
- After you have printed or cancelled printing the invoice(s), close
the invoice display page(s) to display the previous page.
