- Click the Edit or Attach
button on the Order Samples: Patient &
Order Choices or the Unreleased Order
Details pages or click a Sample ID in the Order
Samples: Selected Patient Information page to edit or attach additional order choices
to an unreleased order using the order entry page.
- The page you use to access this function affects what steps you
must take to edit the unreleased order.
Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices Page
- If you click the button on the Order Samples: Patient & Order
Choices page, a dialog box appears asking you to enter the Sample ID
(SID) of the existing order that you wish to edit.
- Enter the SID and click OK.
- If the SID does not exist in the Unreleased Orders list (those
that have not been accessioned into Harvest from the Release Stored Orders window), then you will receive an error message
and any information you have entered on the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page is cleared.
- If the SID does exist in the Unreleased Orders list, then you
may continue editing or attaching additional order choices to the
existing order using the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices
page.
Unreleased Order Details Page
If you access this page from the Unreleased Order Details page,
the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page appears containing
the details of the order you were viewing.
Order Samples: Selected Patient Information Page
If you access this page from the Order Samples: Selected Patient Information page,
the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page appears containing
the details of the order you selected.
- When you use the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page
to edit an unreleased order, all values from the existing order are
displayed, including individual diagnosis codes, billing statuses, and
sample types for each order choice.
- Add, modify, or delete order choices or diagnosis codes, or change
the draw or order locations, provider, etc., just as you did when originally
placing the order.
When adding an order choice to a mixed-priority order, Harvest Webstation assigns the "Routine" priority to the new order choice instead of the highest priority already on the order.
Note that the Sample ID cannot be edited, so it is shown as text instead
of as an editable field.
- If you add any new order choices, they will be automatically assigned
the same diagnosis codes as the first order choice in the order and
assigned default billing status and sample type values.
You may modify your advanced configuration options to prevent Harvest Webstation from loading an unreleased order's diagnosis codes into the Diagnosis fields when editing an order. This will prevent Harvest Webstation from taking the diagnosis codes for the first order choice in the order and applying them to other order choices on the order that do not have as many codes assigned. Note that when editing an order, it will appear that no diagnosis codes are assigned, but each individual order choice's diagnosis codes will still appear on the Order Samples: Sample Information page.
- Continue placing the order as you would normally. See Order
Samples: Patient & Order Choices.
- When you are done making changes, save the order.
- If the existing order was saved as a recurring order, you may edit
the recurring order values by clicking the Save as Recurring
button in the Order Samples: Sample Info page. See Save
as a Recurring Order.
- If the existing order was saved as a recurring order and you click
the Save Order
button to save your edits or attachments, the existing recurring information
is used for the order.
- If any clinical information is required for the order, the Clinical
Information page appears when you save the order. It will include
questions for newly added order choices, as well as any existing questions
that were stored with the original order.
See Order Samples: Sample Info for more
information on saving orders in Harvest Webstation.
- If the order you are editing is released from the Release Stored Orders
window in Harvest while you are editing it, the changes cannot be
saved. You must contact the laboratory to edit this order. There is
no way to attach to an order from Harvest Webstation once it has entered
the Harvest Lab process. See the Harvest online help for more
information.
