Troubleshooting: Patient or Test Photo Colors Appear to be Incorrect
Help Table of Contents

Some of the troubleshooting tips help prevent connection time-out errors. If the page does not seem to reflect the proper information, refresh everything by holding down the Shift key when clicking on Refresh (Internet Explorer) or Reload (Firefox) in your browser. See Troubleshooting Harvest Webstation for additional troubleshooting tips.

Patient or Test Photo Colors Appear to be Incorrect

You may view photos of patients on pages such as Order Samples: Sample Information, Edit Patient: Patient Tab, and Patient Photo. You may view photos of tests on the Order Details and Result History pages.

Note that pictures that display well in Harvest may display with odd colors in Harvest Webstation if the picture is not saved with a maximum of 256 colors. Also note that beginning in version 8.5, QuickTime is no longer required; however, if you encoded any images in previous versions (with QuickTime installed), you may need to contact Technical Support to convert those images for use in later versions of the program.

  • Reducing the Number of Colors
  • You may use a graphics program such as PaintShop Pro to reduce the number of colors in a picture to a maximum of 256 colors. If you use PaintShop Pro to reduce the number of colors, we recommend using the Standard/Web Safe palette and Error diffusion reduction method.

See the online help or help manual for your graphics program for additional help on reducing the colors in a picture.
