Setting up Profiles

  1. Profiles combine frequently ordered order choices into one group of order choices.
  2. To create profiles, you must set up the link between the profile name and the list of included order choices in your advanced configuration options. Contact technical support for help establishing these settings.
  3. Then, on the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page, enter the name of the profile in the Items to Order field, or click the P button to select profiles from the Order Samples: Order Profiles page.

    If your facility uses profiles and you are entering them in the Items to Order field, you MUST enter the profile first in the Items to Order field, and THEN select additional order choices using the Order Items page. See Troubleshooting.

  4. As you continue placing the order, Harvest Webstation will automatically expand the ordered profile into the appropriate individual order choices, and you may continue placing the order as usual.
  5. Using profiles may help you save time during order entry because you will only need to select one profile instead of selecting individual order choices.

Tips for Using Profiles

You may also define a profile for a single order choice instead of multiple order choices. This allows you to link multiple, different names to a single order choice, so users don’t have to enter an exact match to an order choice abbreviation to add it to an order.
