This page appears when you click the Edit Order button in the Order Samples: Sample
Information page when entering an order.
Use this page to edit the testing location, billing status,
sample type, and diagnosis codes for the order choices in an order, or you may delete
the order choice from the order. Deleting an order choice CANNOT be undone.
If you mistakenly delete an order choice, then you must return to the
Order Samples: Patient & Order
Choices page to re-enter the order choice.
Editing an Order Choice
- There is a tab for each order choice in the order at the top of the page. Harvest Webstation displays the tab for the order choice you selected in the Order Samples: Sample Information page. Select a different tab to edit another order choice. Note that when you select a different tab, Harvest Webstation automatically saves the changes to the current order choice and displays the selected order choice.
- Change the default priority for the order choice set in the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page by selecting a different entry from the Priority drop-down field. Note that changing the priority here modifies the priority for this order choice only. Depending on the advanced configuration options defined in Harvest, Harvest Webstation may disable the Priority drop-down field.
- Change the testing location by selecting a different entry from the Testing Location drop-down field. If you do not have the security settings to edit this field, it appears in read-only mode. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Establishing Security Settings.
Depending on your selection for the testing location and your advanced configuration options, Harvest may recalculate the testing location value when you release a Harvest Webstation order into Harvest.
- If you use the testing location that Harvest Webstation assigns by default, then Harvest recalculates the testing location for each order choice when you release the order in Harvest, using the advanced configuration options that link specific testing locations to order choices and/or the options that specify a testing location for order choices with a STAT priority.
- If you manually select a testing location in Harvest Webstation, Harvest will not recalculate the testing location for each order choice when you release the order in Harvest, even if the advanced configuration options are set. If you want to change the testing location manually, you must edit the order (see below).
- If the advanced configuration options are not set or if an assigned value is not valid and you do not manually select a testing location in Harvest Webstation, Harvest Webstation uses the patient's insurance to determine the testing location, and Harvest recalculates the testing location for each order choice when you release the order in Harvest.
- Change the default billing status by selecting a different entry from
the Billing Status drop-down field. Choose "None Selected"
if you do not wish to set a billing status. See Order
Samples: Sample Information for more information on what determines
the default billing status.
You may modify your advanced configuration options to disable or hide the Billing Status drop-down field.
- Change the default sample type by selecting a different entry from
the Sample Type drop-down field. The default value is the sample
type that you defined for the order choice in Harvest. If you do not have the security settings to edit this field, it appears in read-only mode. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Establishing Security Settings.
- Change the default storage temperature by selecting a different entry from
the Storage Temp drop-down field. The default value is the storage temperature that you defined for the order choice in Harvest. If you do not have the security settings to edit this field, it appears in read-only mode. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Establishing Security Settings.
- Add or remove entries from the Tube Types field by clicking the ... button to open the Tubes and Containers page. If you do not have the security settings to edit this field, this button is not available. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Establishing Security Settings. The default value is the tube/container
types that you defined for the order choice in Harvest. See Tubes and Containers.
- Change or add entries to the Diagnosis fields as you did when
you originally entered this information in the Order
Samples: Patient & Order Choices page. If you enter a diagnosis
code or a description that does not exist in the Harvest database,
then Harvest Webstation alerts you to that fact and clears the field
so that you may select a different diagnosis code.
There are two advanced configuration options you may set to control diagnosis code entry by either:
- Disabling the diagnosis code fields on this page and the
Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page (so codes must be
assigned individually using the ... button on either page), or
- Disabling all diagnosis code entry fields and buttons.
See the Harvest online help.
- Click Save to record your changes and return to the Order Samples: Sample Information
page, or click Cancel to return to the Order Samples: Sample Information page without saving
your changes. Note that Harvest Webstation automatically saves your changes whenever you select a different order choice tab, so it will not be able to cancel any changes you made on the first tab after you switch tabs.
Deleting an Order Choice
- Click Delete to remove the order choice from the order.
- A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Click OK to delete the selected order choice and return to
the Order Samples: Sample Information page, or click Cancel
to return to the Order Samples: Sample Information page without deleting
the order choice. Note that Harvest Webstation sends an event log entry
to Harvest for each order choice you remove.
- Deleting an order choice CANNOT be undone. If you mistakenly delete
an order choice, then you must return to the Order
Samples: Patient & Order Choices page to re-enter the order
choice. If you delete an order choice and the automatic comment preference is enabled in Harvest, then Harvest Webstation will automatically create a non-reportable patient-level comment, containing the order choice name, sample ID, and reason for deletion. See the Harvest online or printed help for more information.
