This page appears if you click the CC button on the Patient & Order Choices order entry page or the Edit Patient: Patient Tab page.
Using this page, you may add CC result notification to additional recipients or create patient-level CC result recipients. Note that when you access the CC Reports page through the patient's record, you may only view patient-level CC result recipients. When editing an existing order without order-specific recipients or creating a new order, Harvest Webstation displays any existing patient-level CC result recipients.
Adding CC Providers
- Select an entry from the Providers drop-down list.
Note that you may modify your advanced configuration options to include all providers in the drop-down list. Otherwise, with the "Limit Provider list to personnel group" setting on the Web tab of Preferences in Harvest enabled, the CC list will only include the providers in your personnel group.
- Select a delivery method from the drop-down list.
- Print: When the order is approved, a printed report that you can send to the provider will automatically be generated.
- Fax: When the order is approved, a report will automatically be faxed to the selected provider. In order to deliver results this way, you must have faxing software and the provider must be set up to receive faxes. See the Harvest online help for more information.
- Email: When the order is approved, a report will automatically be emailed to the selected provider. In order to deliver results this way, you must have an email program and the provider must be set up to receive emails. See the Harvest online help for more information.
- Web: When the order is approved, a report will automatically be sent to the selected provider's Harvest Webstation queue. In order to deliver results this way, the provider must have access to Harvest Webstation. See the Harvest online help for more information.
- Click Add to add the selected provider to the CC report list. The list contains each provider you have added and the delivery type Harvest Webstation will use to deliver the report.
Note that you may modify your advanced configuration options to include an additional column in the lists of available and selected providers that include the default fax number (if available) for each provider.
If a fax number is defined for the provider in the Personnel table in Harvest, Harvest Webstation will use that number to fax CC reports instead of the fax number for the provider’s linked location. If no fax number is defined for the provider, Harvest Webstation faxes the CC report to the provider’s linked (draw or order) location. The draw or order location is selected based on the System-wide preference "Use Order Location as linked fax location" on the Accessioning tab of Preferences in Harvest. When the user's linked location fax number is shown in the Provider list, the location name is appended to the fax number in parentheses.
- Repeat these steps for each CC provider that you wish to add.
- You may only add a provider to the CC report list once per order.
- If you want to change a CC provider entry, then you must remove the existing entry (see "Removing CC Providers" below) and then re-add the provider.
- If you want to have these providers receive copies of all of the patient's reports, click the Save as Patient CC button. See "Saving Patient-level CC Providers" below.
- Click Close to return to the Patient & Order Choices order entry page.
Saving Patient-level CC Providers
Patient-level CC providers are providers who will always receive CC reports for the patient, unless the CC recipient list is modified. You may only change patient-level CC providers when modifying the list of CC report recipients during order entry, although you may view patient-level CC providers when editing the patient's record.

When you access the CC Reports page from Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices, an additional button called Save as Patient CC appears. Click this button to save the CC recipient information you have entered to the patient record. See Edit Patient: Patient Tab.
Note that you must have the necessary security settings in order to access the Save as Patient CC button. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Establishing Security Settings for more information.
- This button only appears if you are editing order-level CC information.
- Clicking this button will overwrite any existing patient-level CC information for that patient.
- If you do not make any more changes to the order-level CC information, Harvest can update it with the latest patient CC information once the order is finally released into Harvest.
- If you add or remove CC recipients while placing the order without clicking the Save as Patient CC button again, Harvest will not attempt to update the list of patient-level CC recipients when the order is released.
- When you use this button, Harvest Webstation records the change in the Change Log in Harvest.
- The recipients you add to the patient record will receive copies of all of the patient's reports, unless you manually add or remove one or more providers. See "Adding CC Providers" above or "Removing CC Providers" below.
Removing CC Providers
To remove a CC provider, do one of the following:
- Click the X button for the provider whom you want to remove.
- This removes only that provider from the CC report list.
- Click Close to return to the Patient & Order Choices order entry page.
- OR -
- Click Clear.
- This removes all of the providers on the CC report list at once.
- Click Close to return to the Patient & Order Choices order entry page.
