Harvest System Administrators must assign a Harvest Webstation password
for you when establishing your personnel settings. After the initial assignment,
you may modify your password from the Change Password menu link or when
Harvest Webstation prompts you to when you sign in.
Changing Your Password at Sign In Prompt
- If the security option to check for expired passwords has been enabled
in Harvest, Harvest Webstation automatically prompts you
to update your expired password on the Change Password page after
you sign in. See Sign In for more
information.
- Enter your existing password in the Current Password field,
then type your new password in the New Password and Retype
Password fields. Note that the password field accepts punctuation
characters, which are excellent characters to use in passwords for security
reasons. Harvest Webstation will clear any spaces before or after your
password; however, you may use spaces within your password.
- Click Save.
- Harvest Webstation checks to see if the new password passes the system-wide
password setting criteria for minimum characters, minimum alphabetic
characters, and minimum numeric characters, if they have been set in
Harvest. See the Harvest online help for more information.
- Harvest Webstation will also verify that the new password has not
been used recently.
- If the password you enter is not valid for some reason, Harvest will prompt you to enter a different password.
- Once Harvest Webstation validates the new password, the program permits
access to those areas for which you have the proper security access.
Manually Changing Your Password
- To manually change your password at any time, click the Change Password menu link.
- The Change Password page appears.
Note that this page only appears if you have the necessary security
setting to reset your own password. Otherwise, Harvest Webstation will
alert you that you do not have access.
