Screen Shot for Step 7
In this step, you are verifying or modifying the default label printing
settings. If you do not make any changes, then the default values will
be used.
Review the values in the LabelPrinter Settings window.
Modify the fields as necessary. Note that, in most cases, the necessary
values are defined by the printer.
Serial Port - The com port where
the label printer is connected to the machine. If this value is set
incorrectly, you will receive Com port error 5. |
 |
Baud Rate - Defines the communication rate between
Harvest Webstation and the label printer. The default value is 9600. |
Data Bits - The number of bits that make up a
piece of data. This value is generally 7 or 8, but the default value
is 8. |
Parity - The type of check that is run to verify
the integrity of the data. This value is generally "none,"
"even," or "odd," but the default value is "none." |
Stop Bits - The number of characters in the data
stream that defines the end of a data "word." This value
must be set to 1. |
Delay - The time in milliseconds that Harvest
Webstation will await a response from the serial device (printer).
If you receive time-out error 32, then you should increase this value. |
Once you have confirmed these values, click OK.
If you need to change these settings in the future, run Programs>LabelPrinter>LabelPrinter Setup from the Windows Start menu.
